Jorine attended the NextGenChem conference in Nijmegen. It was great connecting with the next generation of chemists, and see the cool science assistant professors are leading in The Netherlands. Thanks to the organisers for a great conference!
Three of our team members successfully finished their internships! We celebrated with delicious homemade cupcakes.
Kes finished her bachelor internship, and with that her Bachelor degree in Molecular Life Sciences. Congratulations Kes! For her next step, she will stay in Nijmegen to pursue a masters degree. Mette Marit finished her bachelor internship, well done! She will continue with her bachelor program at the HAN. Aleid finished her master internship, but she will not leave the lab just yet. She will continue as a research assistant for the coming summer.
Contratulations to all and enjoy the summer!
Jorine attended TheoryXperiment in Utrecht: a meeting to cultivate and celebrate the collaboration between theoretical and experimental research in physics of life. She gave the first keynote talk and enjoyed interacting with the Dutch Biophysics community. Thank you to the organisers for the invitation!
In a riveting and very competitive petanque match, Team Staff was ahead for most of the game. They then failed to score 4 matchpoints, and Team Interns won the game. Cheers to the win for the interns!
